Introducing…

NC Play is the new games and social experience label from New Canvas. NC Play extends our award-winning immersive storytelling into new formats: browser games, avatar-led social experiences and mobile-first interactive stories.

We’re building joyful, accessible, emotionally resonant experiences designed for connection — whether you’re deep in a headset, playing on your phone or hanging out in a digital world/space.

Why did we create NC Play?

The entertainment landscape is shifting — not everyone has a headset (yet), but everyone wants meaningful, social, and imaginative ways to engage. NC Play is our response to that demand.

We’re still telling bold, inclusive stories. But now, we’re meeting audiences where they already are — across platforms, generations and cultures.

We saw a gap in the marketplace: people want meaningful, playful, culturally rich content—but not everyone is in a VR headset. NC Play is how we meet audiences where they are, while staying true to our roots in immersive storytelling.

NC Play titles will range from:

  • Social world-building games in Horizon Worlds, VR Chat and other immersive social worlds.
  • Game extensions from existing New Canvas IP to be experienced on PC, mobile or browsers.
  • Gamified story extensions adapted from our immersive slate and other licensed IP.
  • Play-as-you-chat storytelling formats designed for creators and communities.

Our first NC Play title – Pop & Drop

Pop & Drop is a fast-paced, multiplatform, multiplayer, party game where you float, scheme, and sabotage your way to survival—above a shark tank! Spin the Wheel of Fate, form risky alliances and outlast your rivals before your last balloon pops.

Accessible, hilarious and full of unpredictable fun that’s playable in VR, the web and fully optimized for mobile.

Play Pop & Drop today—only in Meta Horizon.
